Resolving cached pages

This page will help you to resolve cached page problems on your computer, a possible cause of problems when viewing our website.

A cached page is an old web page that your computer has saved in its memory which enables the website to load more quickly on your computer. Sometimes, when you are on the internet, the computer will recognize that it already has a copy of the page you are trying to look at and so it will show you the saved one rather than the current one. This is why something doesn't work or looks incorrect or just doesn't work at all.

To resolve this you can follow the steps outlined below. Just click on the relevant combination of browser and platform:

  • Windows with internet explorer
  • Windows with firefox
  • Mac with safari

The three options above cover the most used platform / browsers combinations that are used by most visitors to LetThat.com. For assistance on any combination that are not shown, please refer to your browser help function.

Windows with internet explorer

  1. Click on 'Tools' at the top of your browser window then click on 'Internet Options'.
  2. Once the Internet Options window is open, make sure the 'General' tab is highlighted.
  3. In the middle of the window you will see the title 'Temporary Internet Files' with three buttons in that area - Delete Cookies, Delete Files and Settings.
  4. Click on 'Delete Cookies' - this will delete all stored cookies on your PC (this may take a few minutes). These are sometimes associated to old pages which is why they should be deleted.
  5. Now click on 'Delete Files' - this will delete all saved pages, pictures, videos etc that your PC has saved while you browse the internet (this may take a few minutes). This will remove the unwanted cached page.
